Outing at Gembira Loka Zoo

Gembira Loka Zoo is a well-known zoo located in Yogyakarta. It is home to a diverse range of animals, and visitors can explore different zones, including the bird, claw, mammal, reptile, petting zoo, and primate zones. Due to the zoo’s educational value and its emphasis on promoting nature awareness, the students of Gistrav Islamia School recently paid a visit to this place. Interestingly, this zoo has been around since 1956. Quite an old zoo, isn’t it?!     During the visit, the children gained a lot of experience. In their daily learning, they only knew about animals from pictures. However, this time, they could see the shapes and sizes of these animals. Furthermore, they also learned about the unique characteristics of each animal and understood their abilities to survive in the wild. Moreover, taking children to the zoo has several benefits:

Fun Outbond at Ledok Sambi

Ledok Sambi is an ideal place for picnics or camping due to its location on the edge of a river or valley. This tourist location features green grass expanses, fertile fields, a tranquil flowing river, and a breathtaking view of Mount Merapi.   The children of Gistrav Islamia School came here to participate in a series of enjoyable outbound activities. Engaging in outbound activities in nature is an unparalleled learning experience. They played team games that could enhance social skills and teamwork. Additionally, other play facilities triggered their curiosity and courage to explore the surrounding nature. They could learn alongside nature to plow fields and observe the environment.   Returning to nature is a powerful learning method to help children understand the importance of nature to humans. Without the younger generation realizing the importance of a pristine environment, they won’t be able to enjoy the beauty and grandeur of Allah Azza wa Jalla’s creation.   During this time, this activity has benefits in physical activities and strengthens bonds among friends.
