“Kamis Pahing ” is a tradition in the Yogyakarta community that requires students to wear traditional clothing on “Kamis Pahing”. People participate in preserving traditional attire, which represents the identity of Yogyakarta residents on this special day.

Encouraging children in Gistrav Islamia School to wear traditional clothing will help them understand beauty, philosophy, and cultural diversity.

Sometimes, we are wondering what kind of things that we can do to develop our students’ character and skill? The answer is these events. This events is our attempt to make the students be more creative, expressive, and brave when they do such activities.

On the 1st day of Open House we had exhibition, tahfidz competition, coloring competition for preschool, ball relay, water relay, and memory games. All of our school’s family are really excited to join this event.

Market day has the function for training children’s entrepreneurial spirit, introducing the currency’s value to children, training courage, and training children to appreciate friends’ work. Meanwhile the competitions to train children to be able to start thinking critically, solve problems, and learn to make decisions. Build enthusiasm to achieve the goal of the race. Build and train the child’s self-confidence.
